— About us
A crew that treats your logs like our own.
Frontier Finishing has restored and maintained log homes since 1999 — 27 years, one focused crew, and over 500 satisfied homeowners across Ohio, with select work in West Virginia and Indiana.
— Our story
Twenty-seven years, one standard
Frontier Finishing started in 1999, finishing and protecting log homes one house at a time. It's passed through a few hands since — we're on our third owner now — but the standard has never moved: show up, tell homeowners the truth about what their logs need, and do the work right.
Phil Geiser took over in August 2024 and runs a single, focused crew, anchored by a lead craftsman with years of hands-on log home experience. Between them they've earned over 500 satisfied customers. As one of the most experienced Perma-Chink Systems applicators around, Phil uses it because — maintained right — it's the difference between a home that needs re-staining every couple years and one that doesn't.

Phil Geiser
Owner & Team Lead · Owner since 2024
Phil took over Frontier Finishing in 2024 and runs it the way he'd want his own home handled — one focused crew, on every job, doing it right the first time.
What sets Phil apart is what happens after the work is done. He guides homeowners through what is needed to properly maintain their homes so that the finished work will last for decades. Most companies finish and leave. Phil makes sure you're set up for the long haul.
